The other day I said I was weaning myself off of crystal light, but on Sunday, I decided boom, I was done. I have not had Crystal Light since Saturday, and I am quite proud of that fact.
My big problem is, I. HATE. WATER. It tastes like NOTHING. So I’ve started adding mint leaves to my water and it’s helping, not much, but it’s helping. I’ve also started drinking – are you ready for this? A detox drink made with dandelion tea, cranberry juice, lemon juice and water.
It’s actually not half bad. It’s not half great, but it’s not half bad. The recipe, in case anybody is interested is
3 – 4 dandelion tea bags
2 1/2 cups boiling water
1/4 cup cranberry juice
juice of 1/2 a lemon
Make the tea and drink it 3 times a day. We’ll see if it helps. I figure it can’t hurt. I’m also doing a modified type of Atkins. White bread is gone, as are potatoes. I’m watching carbs, but if they’re coming from leafy veggies and such, I’m not going to worry that much about them. I’ve even started *gasp* exercising. Nothing too intense, but I’m moving more, and I have my little fitbit zip to keep me honest.
Will these changes last? I don’t know. I figure Easter is going to present a few difficulties, but i’ll push through them, and if I mess up, I’ll just move forward
